Summary, etc. "Business Mathematics conforms to the minimum requirements for Grade 11 as prescribed by the Department of Education. It is designed to provide an understanding of the basic concepts of mathematics as applied in business. It includes a review of the fundamental mathematical operations using decimals, fractions, percent, ratio and proportion; mathematical concepts and skills in buying and selling, computing gross and net earnings, and presenting, analyzing, and interpreting business data. The use of computer and software applications for computation and data presentation is also presented for easy learning. The course is divided into four (4) chapters. Intended learning outcomes are indicated to gauge the learning of the students at the end of each chapter. Basic concepts are defined, discussed, and illustrated through examples for better understanding. Exercises are given at the end of each chapter to enhance the learning experience of students. These exercises are also designed to ready the students in applying concepts in business mathematic in real life." -- Preface.
