"This book is divided into four units. The first one is on rhythmic activities. It is prepared for students to gain knowledge on its importance, the role it plays in the development of nationalism, and the preservation of our cultural heritage. Unit two focuses on Philippine folk dances. This unit will make the students realize the creativity and rich culture of the Philippine regions. Meanwhile, unit three is on social dances. Among others, this unit aims to develop the students' appreciation for the various forms of social dances and their ability to express themselves through participation in related class activities. Finally, unit four discusses the various recreational activities. With this unit, students are expected to understand the scope of recreation, the values and benefits that may be derived from it and how planning a recreation program is done."
