To demonstrate its power, the totalitarian state regime of Panem organizes "The Hunger Games" every year. In them, 24 young people compete against each other in a battle in which there can only be one survivor. Young Katniss volunteers to participate in the games to save her sister. Peeta, a young man she has known since childhood and who is in love with her, will participate alongside her. However, the Capitol wants to turn them into opponents.
