Aesop’s Fables is a collection of short, moralistic stories attributed to Aesop, a Thracian wise man who spent most of his life in slavery on the island Samos. The fables, numbering 725, were originally told from person-to-person as much for entertainment purposes but largely as a means for relaying or teaching a moral or lesson.
